Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger reports that on April 26, 2008 at approximately 12:50 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to a call of a shooting at 1300 St. Rt. 763 near Aberdeen, Ohio. The caller had advised the Communications Center that her husband, Allan Fryman Sr., had shot their son, Allan Fryman Jr.

When officers arrived at the scene at approximtately 1:15AM, the suspect, Allan Fryman, Sr., 58 years of age, of 1300 St. Rt. 763, Aberdeen stated to the officers that he had shot his son and he was taken into custody. The victim, Allan Fryman Jr., 36 years of age, of 1406 St. Rt. 763, Aberdeen, had been transported to Meadowview Regional Hospital in Maysville, Kentucky by a friend. Fryman was later transferred to University Hospital in Cincinnati by Air Care for treatment and has since been released.

Allan Fryman Sr. has been charged with Felonious Assault, a Felony of the 2nd Degree. He was arraigned in Brown County Municipal Court on April 28, 2008 and given a $5,000.00 O.R. Bond and placed on the Home Incarceration program pending outcome of the charges.
