Suspects arrested in methamphetamine bust
Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger reports that on May 23, 2008 at approximately 7:00AM, Deputies from the Brown and Clermont County Sheriff’s Offices executed a search warrant at a residence located at 15903 Hile Road, Mt. Orab. Deputies located illegal drugs (methamphetamine) and a large amount of drug paraphernalia. The following individuals were arrested:

Mudslinging vandal is all dried up
Robert W. Rozell Jr.Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger reports that on May 17, 2008 the Sheriff’s Office received numerous complaints from individuals that an unknown suspect had vandalized their yards and fields by driving a vehicle through them and by making pinwheels in the yards causing a substantial amount of damage. The vandalism took place on New Hope McKinley Road, Hamer Road, Delhi-Arnheim Road and Stony Hollow Road in the Georgetown area.

Sheriff warns of Telephone Scams
Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger reports that his office has received some recent complaints concerning telephone solicitations asking for monetary donations on behalf of the “Deputy Sheriff’s Coalition” or “Police Benevolent Fund” to be used for ballistic vests for law enforcement officers. The caller states that the money will go to their local Sheriff’s Office or Police Department, when in fact, they receive no funding from the solicitor.

Robbery suspect apprehended
Josh GilbertSheriff Dwayne Wenninger reports that early this morning at approximately 12:30AM, Josh Gilbert, 20 years of age, of Aberdeen, Ohio, was apprehended without incident at his grandmother’s residence on North Second Street in Ripley, Ohio.
